Recurring invoices: bill regular clients on autopilot

Set a schedule once and Olvano issues the invoice on the day you choose — and can email it out on its own.

Invoicing the same client the same amount every month? Recurring invoices in Olvano take that chore off your plate. Set up a generator once and the document issues itself on the day you pick.

How it works

You create a recurring generator — a template with the client, line items, and a schedule. On the due date Olvano generates a finished document with the right number from your number series.

  • A generator can issue a regular invoice or a proforma — depending on what you switch on.
  • Line items, VAT rates, and texts come from the template, so there's nothing to retype.
  • The document number is assigned automatically from your chosen format.

What happens after generation

A generated invoice behaves like any other: it reconciles against incoming payments, tracks the due date, and can send reminders. If you use webhooks, you get a recurring_generator_invoice_created event you can hook your own automation onto.

When recurring invoices shine

  • Subscriptions and retainers (maintenance, hosting, consulting).
  • Regular rent or membership fees.
  • Any service with steady monthly or yearly billing.

Set it once, bill forever — and spend your time on the work, not the admin.
